Climate Change Adaptation Knowledge Transfer Adviser
The Welsh Government, in partnership with Cardiff University, have identified a new post to provide advice and support to public sector organisations, businesses and communities in relation to climate change impacts and adaptation, and to interface these activities with those of the Climate Change Consortium for Wales (C3W). The post will have three main objectives:
- To lead implementation of the adaptation components of the Welsh Government’s Climate Change Strategy and wider adaptation policy, in partnership with relevant Government departments, delivery partners and other stakeholders, including the Climate Change Commission for Wales.
- To identify and share good practice in relation to climate change impacts risk assessment, planning and capacity building.
- To inform Government policy on the practical experience of implementing adaptation planning in Wales, in order to shape future Government adaptation policy.
