New Pro Vice-Chancellor

We have appointed a new member of our executive team, with Professor Kim Graham taking up the post of Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Enterprise in the new academic year.

Pioneering firefighter research shortlisted for innovation award

Research carried out at the School of Psychology has been shortlisted for a BBSRC Innovator of the Year award. The study, which was led by Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton and Professor Rob Honey prompted a nationwide policy change for UK firefighters.

New Centre for Human Developmental Science launched

The School of Psychology at Cardiff University has launched a Centre for Human Developmental Science which will provide a broad range of opportunities for research and training in the study of human development from conception to adulthood.

Best Presentation Award at the ICOHS 2018

Michael Evans received the Best Presentation Award at the ICOHS 2018 (20th International Conference on Occupational Health and Safety) in Miami for his talk "Analyzing safety incidents using the Fatigue Risk Index calculator as an indicator of fatigue within a UK train franchise".

Top 40 World University Ranking for the School of Psychology

Cardiff University’s School of Psychology has once again been ranked in the top 40 Psychology Schools in the world according to the latest QS World University Rankings, reinforcing our position as a leading School of Psychology.

International Colloquia Series

The external talks take place in LT3 from 2:10-3pm, followed by a tea/cake reception in the 5th floor common room.

The internal seminars take place during semester time, every Thursday at 1pm in the 5th floor common room.
