Undergraduate Degree Programmes
We offer two undergraduate programmes:
These are identical except for the inclusion of a professional placement year in Psychology with Professional Placement.
With acknowledged excellence in research and teaching, and being one of the largest psychology departments in Britain, our undergraduate degree programme covers all areas of psychology under a modular system. The teaching is research-led and it is a special feature of the School that aspects of applied psychology are included as a vital and integral part of the subject.
The courses emphasize psychology as a scientific pursuit, and foster both analytical and communication skills. As such, they provide a foundation for a wide range of future careers, including all aspects of professional psychology, many health care professions, as well as a spectrum of more general graduate destinations. All of the School’s degree programmes are recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for Graduate Membership and Graduate Basis for Registration.
