Electroencephalography (EEG)
EEG is the measurement from the scalp of small electrical potentials generated by underlying neural activity. EEG can be used to study many aspects of sensory and cognitive function, for example memory.
CUBRIC houses two dedicated EEG labs and also has facilities for conducting EEG measurements during MRI, typically used for simultaneous EEG-fMRI.
The Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) is a world-class facility, featuring state-of-the-art brain imaging and brain stimulation technologies. These include:
- 3 research dedicated EEG laboratories, each containing multi-channel (>= 64) EEG acquisition systems (One DC enabled).
- High fidelity audio-visual stimulus presentation and EEG recording equipment.
