As part of the Wales Integrative Neurodegeneration (WIN) programme, I am looking to unify biological and social research approaches for the early detection of dementia.
My research will focus on integrating approaches from Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, Genetics and Social Sciences to investigate structural and functional changes that occur in early stages of Alzheimer’s disease and in at risk populations. I also aim to explore how environmental factors interact with genetic characteristics, and the effectiveness of neurostimulation techniques for cognitive-behavioural intervention.
